"Hanging" Idle - Stock 08 Manual Cobalt

I tried searching on this but wasn't able to find anything other than this problem exists on the factory 08 manual trans Cobalt's. This is an unmodified tune, the customer is complaining of the idle "hanging", took it for a test ride and it does in fact "hang" at higher rpm between shifts. It's a minor annoyance but he would like to have it corrected.
I tried modifying the Throttle Follower, Idle Coastdown Spark as well as the Clutch Fuel Cutoff enable temp but no dice.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

Can you elaborate? Is the switch faulty or need to be adjusted?

Don't throw parts.... Log the PID/Status bit.... That will tell you right away if the clutch pos switch is fine...

When its a fsb, I wouldnt consider it throwing parts. I'm not sure its an fsb for the cobalt but it is for the trucks. And knowing GM they likely use the same sensor.

FSB?? Also, it is throwing parts if its not properly diagnosed and confirmed.... Using the scanner to confirm its bad would not be throwing parts.....

Never heard of an FSB..... Been a Double Master ASE tech with dealer for 15 years.... TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) is what the manufacturers refer to them as.... Regardless, you are referring to throwing parts... Matter of fact, there is a bulletin about FIX IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME..... That means properly diagnosing (which seems to be a hard thing now a days ), not just guessing until you find a part that works...

Thanks for the info folks (and the entertainment!). I do not have the customers car on site. What is the PID for the clutch switch? The commanded and actual TPS goes to zero when you lift to shift.

Forgive my ignorance but have you cleaned your throttle body plate? Had this problem on another car and that fixed it.
