    i would copy my trans tables to start my car drives and shifts great.leave steady state adapt disabled and leave the switch option to no switch unless you do as described above to get a temp. ground so you can use your performance tables.

    Update: I talked to Frank at performabuilt and he mentioned to me just turning the key on would only show second gear regardless and that I needed to run it. Well I was hoping the solenoids would fix the problem and I believe they did look at this log

    It shows first gear when instantly when the car is running (like it should), its too wet to drive so I will confirm in the morning.

    looks like input and output rpms match perfectly (Is this normal)?
    BTW ignition voltage jumped to 13.00V.


    Sure hope I still have good news in the morning.

    That's a good start. If it was still in 2nd, that would be "limp" mode for it, and indicdate the computer is seeing something electrical it doesn't like.

    Pretty damn sure that's not normal. Unless it's 1:1 internally.

    Try this Ben.

    Using a volt meter, the diagrams posted a few posts ago, and your scanner controls. Check the solenoid driver circuits right at the PCM with your volt meter. Check the 1-2 shift solenoid for power. If there is 12v there, activate the solenoid with your scanner, and make sure the power is pulled to ground. Do the same thing with the 2-3 solenoid. Check it for 12v, and then activate it, and check for it to be pulled to ground.

    Checking it this way checks several things all at the same time. You're checking power to and through the soleniods, resistance of the entire circuit, whether the drivers are working (you know they are you can hear the solenoids clicking) and whether or not they're wired to the correct drivers.

    This is what would be referred to as dynamic testing. Dynamic testing is in a nutshell, is testing a system under it's operating conditions. As opposed to static testing (like ohming a wiring harness) dynamic testing can reveal problems that would otherwise go unnoticed.

    Opps I updated the thread on LS1tech but not on here.

    Trans WORKS perfect, it was indeed the solenoids, just had to have the car running for it to drop out of 2nd gear.

    Throttle or Ed you guys now a way to keep this 4L80E locked up after I release the Throttle? I have thought about switching back to the 4L60E file swap some wires and use the relay trick but Ed I didn't know if it was possible maybe for you to fix this??

    yeah i got used to it unlocking! it has to be programable someway,feature request maybe

    You would think it could be programmed out, but it annoys me so I will probably do the 4L60E segment again and add the relay.

    The tables are in other software... just not HPT's. Really been wanting TunerCATS for this but it's impossible to find one of the durn things nowadays without paying an arm and a leg.

    I think so. I'm working on it. If it works, we'll let you know. Should have a file back to him today or tomorrow. I've got a bunch of mail orders to do in the next couple days, and a remote tune tomorrow. I'm trying to get a head start on the week by knocking out a few today, so it might be tomorrow before I can get Ben's done.
