Swapping A6 to M6 (manual) in C6 corvette, does BCM need reflash?

Swapping A6 to M6 (manual) in C6 corvette, does BCM need reflash?

I'm doing the wiring right now and it seems the Reverse lights on an Auto are selected by the selector switch inside the trans, which the Trans TCM sees and uses Data cables to signal the BCM to engage the reverse lights.

On an M6 (manual) it appears the BCM has a different input, and when the Reverse switch is engaged in the transmission, it signals the BCM directly via a single power wire, which is powered by the reverse switch.

My question being, if I just wire that in, will it work or will the BCM need to be reflashed to look for the M6 inputs. As in, does the BCM ignore M6 inputs if not flashed for it.

Or all all BCM's same flash Auto or Standard?

And if thats the case, when I flash my PCM with a manual tune, will it automatically reflash the BCM or will a dealer need to do it.

Sorry for dragging this out, just want to be as specific as possible.

I believe you need to reflash the BCM if you want complete stock-like operation. The BCMs are definitely flashed based on which transmission they use. A dealer or somebody with a Tech-II will have to flash the BCM, as HP Tuners does not access it.

C6 Corvette BCM are not flashable.
you've to setup RPO using the Tech2.
a 5 minutes or less job
