    Trans Brake tuning, turbocharged.

I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on tuning for a trans brake/2 step. Meaning maybe a trick into getting the turbo charger spooled up better. I was thinking a little bit leaner with more timing may do the trick. Then im not even sure if i should do that in my ve table or not. Then im lost on what to do with the 2step on. Which i will log that and go from there later.

Also other ideas i had was to run my transbrake voltage to my ac request signal and maybe have timing added via that signal. Not sure if thats possible but i was going to research the voltages for the signal and also look threw my editor and see if its even possible.

Im new to this stuff but i want to learn so be easy on me!

    If it matters i have a mild 6.0 ls2 with a pt88 in a 01 f-body thats a 80% racecar. Synergy 2 step, th400 trasnbraked rmvb-3800 stall-9inch ford- stock ls2shortblock,233 236 114 cam, front mount truck manifold turbo kit,80lbs siemens,ls6 intake,01 z28 computer, 800rwhp.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking here. I don't know that you can tune to make the turbo spool more in that way. AFAIK the only thing affecting how it spools is airflow and the actual sizing of the turbo..

Running Amsoil Signature Series 10w-30 and Amsoil Signature Series Fuel Efficient Synthetic ATF. Tuned by me with AEM 30-0333 WB thru HP Tuners.

you can delay spark enough that the combustion happens in the exhaust manifold, instant spool. i wish i knew how to do it in the e38, my trans hopes i never find out.

Your right, but the more power the car makes is from better combustion and with a little more agressive timing on the trans brake it will have more airflow. The moment your off the brake your want to go right back to lower timing. Also leaning it up a tad will help from what i hear.

"Read closer, its an automatic not a 6 speed.

To aid spooling, you will want the A/F to be mid to high 12s and the timing to be 32-35+. On our big motor we run 40 degrees of timing and 12.7:1 A/F. Each motor will be different I test alot of different combos and track the turbo speed to figure out which one works the best."

With the E38 and a six speed, you can two step it very easy.
