    Can anyone check this out?

I had a buddy tune my truck a few years ago...It likes to surge every once and awhile at idle, and when I'm coasting in Neutral (It's a stick) the RPM's will hang around 2000 RPM's. Another thing I'm kinda looking at is the Knock Retard seems like it's pulling A LOT of timing. I just want someone to look at it and check it out for me kinda show me where to start. Well I should start from Stock but the guy that tuned my truck doesn't have it anymore.

You have 8 degrees of knock at 1800 rpm range. This is lean knock due to your VE table being whacked out. Before you do anything with your timing, fix your primary VE table. Look at it in 2D mode full screen. See all the dips in the 1600 to 2800 rpm range. Fix those first. I will post a VE table for you to copy back into yours to start with. (its yours fixed up some) Use that to tune with to fix your VE table, not your current one. As to your fuel trims being off, enable open loop, relog a much longer log, hitting as many cells as possible. By fixing this, it may help your idle at that 2000rpm. Fix this before you start making idle changes, as it is most likely the cause. You do have real knock it looks like at the 4800rpm range. Your commanding 38degrees of timing here, and thats too much. Subtract the 6 degrees of knock from the area you have it in your high octain table. And blend it downward. In other words, you dont want any higher than 32 degees at that rpm and .28grams of air or higher. So that cell and the others below it must be at or below 32 degrees of timing. As the airflow numbers get higher, the timing gets lower. Just blend it nicely.

Take a stab at what I suggested above, and repost your tune with changes I suggested with that new longer log. Then either myself or someone else can help you clean up your VE table, and the rest of your timing table. If you still have issues at 2000rpm we can look at it then. Here is the table to use for your VE for now. I cleaned it up as best as I could based on your airflow model from your VE table. It has to be better than what you have now, and if anything it will err on the richer side in the area you are having problems with instead of super lean like you had. Give it a shot, see how it works. Just highlight, copy and paste into yours.

I found a Stock Silverado file but it's an auto think it would be easier to import that Timing table and start from there?

Id worry more about your VE table being off. Thats whats causing the knock in the 1800rpm range. Seriously, fix the VE first, the timings the easy part. You have to fix whats causing the knock in that area. reducing timing isnt going to make it run better if the VE table is whacked out.

Also how far off could a Auto Vs a Manual tune be? I was thinking of just copying and pasteing the VE table & timing tables over since I can't find a stock tune for my truck but I have found Auto's
