    Can we change these parameters?

    For those of us that might pick up a spare PCM from the scrap yard to play with, is it possible to program the VIN number and mileage?

    Can I just buy any PCM, as long as it has the same part number, and reflash it with my make/year code, or do I have no choice but to find the exact PCM year and model for my car?

    You will need the same hardware version at minimum.

    If it is of a different vehicle type you can have a dealer flash it with a tech-2 to your VIN and will be ok.

    If you have our tuner version and have support for both vehicles you then could flash it to your VCM/PCM file yourself.

    If the PCM you purchase is not supported by your license, then you will not be able to read/write it.
