In the screenshots for engine diagnostics there is a button called firing order. What is it for? Can you change the firing order so the displayed misfires are correct if you are using a different firing order?

Can you please elaborate on your setup, we are very curious.
We list the firing order table as it is displayed in the PCM. We where actually discussing this table last week and we aren't really sure what effects modifying the firing order will have. It is something we are looking into.

I was planning on using the LS-1 computer on a SBC. I was planning on just moving the injector and coil wires around to work with the different firing orders. When I saw the firing order button I thought it might change the firing order around and display the misfires correctly.

I dont think the point is to display the misfire correctly, but since it uses no distributor and uses 8 coils it will fire the correct coil and injector.
