    Editing the fuel tables?

Does this program reference which cell in the table the engine is currently on while editing? ex. Highlighting the current cell in the fuel table the engine is running on?

    Thanks,
    Martin

Martin, with our software you are able to scan the car to determine what points of load need fuel modification. Then you can download the file on the PCM, modify the tables accordingly (based on your scanned data), save it to the PCM and perform another test with the scan tool.

What he is asking and he has a point and would be a nice addon is if we could see something like this:

It would be nice to have this separation in the VE table

    Nice pic.

We make work it into our V2 editor.. Our second version, v2 will be available in a few months and will be a compilation of all the features users want added into the V1 editor.

Plus, we always have this forum to ask questions like this and get helpful responses like Highlanders.

Actually I was talking more about this.

The blue highlighted area is where the engine is currently at. Makes tuning alot easier when you have a wide band O2 plugged in. Cause you can just look at the screen and tell what values need to be changed.

It is something we can look at for version 2, but version 1 will not have this feature.

Something to note though, depending on how far your wideband senor is back in the exhaust stream, it will always be behind in RPM.

    Re: Editing the fuel tables?

Does this mean that VE table value editing won't make
the first release, or only the GUI/3-D Map function?

    Re: Editing the fuel tables?

You have complete VE editing capability.. Table, 3d surface map, 3d line map and the 2d line map.

What we don't have right now, per the question asked initially, is a way to reference what cell the engine is currently running in for you to make your changes easier.

That would require and active editing/scan tool similar to a DFI setup. You can't actively permanantly write these PCM's on the fly with the engine running without losing you settings at key-off.

    Re: Editing the fuel tables?

There is a PID for the cell its currently in... if you have the ve table devided the way I put it then you will know what to change... That is it... No need to know exactly where in the table it is, as you shouldn't change one value w/o changing the adjacent ones and the ones adjacent to those adjacents.. that is why cells are bigger, smaller, depending on what you want them to be, and you have a thresshold before the engine changes from one Cell to the other, when it is at a borderline.. .Its all to avoid abrupt changes and have things smooth out as much as possible.

Sounds like it'll do what I need, then... I can live
    with non-real-time tweaking just fine.
