Holy shit, this is one of the coolest threads I've read on this board and realy makes me kick my self in the ass for not buying an m6 Vette when I had the chance.
Awesome video.

Lol no I didn't blow it up. It's still lazy on the limiter but I'm not sure I have the settings right. Would Bill or G8GT mind taking a look at the settings and tell me if I have it right?

Attached is the tune with my attempt at the 2 step/NLS stuff. Did I do it right? I have the limiter set to 4200 for now.

I see a few things wrong honestly. First of all I would set those cold startup tables and extreme cutoff the same.
Considering that this is probably not a solid roller engine I would set the extreme cutoff to 7,000 RPM and extreme resume to 6,920. That'll save your lifters and other valvetrain components in the long run.
Secondly I'd match up the cold start cutoff to 7,000 rpm instead of the current 6,900 so your limiters don't get confused.
Third change your switchover delay to 20 on all 6 gears and try a 4,000 RPM limit cutoff on the park/neutral sections .
On the clutch fuel cutoff however you should tune that to your liking. Cheers.

Everything you mentioned with the exception of the CFCO was done during the initial tune by the tuner(am I allowed to say their name here? lol) so I'll look into it.
No, it's not a solid roller motor, its just a cam-only LS3 with Patriot extreme springs.
Without asking you to go into too much detail, can you give a cliffs notes explanation of those things so I have a better understanding of what it is exactly that I'm changing? I have a basic understanding and will do some research to learn what exactly those parameters do.
I can say that I shift at 7k on the track so I set the limiter to 7100 in 1st and 2nd gear so I wouldn't hit it during my quarter mile passes.
I also noticed that after disabling the CFCO, my rpms seem to hang instead of drop off during routine driving. At least, I think that's what happened because after I started playing with the 2 step stuff, I noticed it and that was the only other thing I changed.

If I change the p/n limiter to 4000, won't that make the computer kind of freak out if I get on the throttle, and shift at say 6500 and then push the clutch in? The motors rpms will fall to around 4300 or so on the shift, so won't it try and bring the rpms down to 4000 right away since it'll think it's in neutral, and then when I let the clutch back out, it'll have to come back up to the regular 4300? Or is that not how it works?
If that description is bad, I apologize, it's late here and I'm not sure I'm explaining my thinking very clearly.

4000 is too low. z51 gearing will drop down to about 4800-4900 on each shift depending how fast you are and how close to the 7000 limiter you are. set it to 5000.

Ok, so I've made the adjustments you recommended G8 but the NLS doesn't exactly act as I expected it to. I did some mexico pulls this weekend and if I didn't know better, I'd swear the car is slower with the NLS stuff activated.
I have a log at home and I can post it later in addition to the tune. I wonder if I have something messed up or if there's more to this 2 step/nls aspect that I'm not doing correctly in the tune.

Hmmm, will continue to study this.it should feel tons faster with flat foot shifting. Does your log show the TPS doing weird stuff when you push the clutch in?

I can post a log when I get home as I took some from the Mexico runs this weekend.
It's weird--it's like the computer freaks out when I do it and is slow to recover. Looking at the log from my quarter mile passes, I can see how fast I'm shifting when I lift to shift. But, when you compare that to the NLS attempt, it's noticeably slower for everything to "come back online"
I'm not sure if that makes any sense, but I'll post the tune and log when I get home tonight.

That sounds exactly like the TB shutting when you shift. It should use timing to control everything.

Oh that's ok. I'm not a total lemming so I didn't listen to you anyway I had it set at 4800 this weekend. I even tried the 2 step aspect of it, but the car still does that lazy vroom vroom thing like it surges weirdly.
Hell, I can just take a video with the GoPro and let you see it first hand if you want.
