    Afx Wideband wiring

Hi there I'm just in the process of wiring up my wideband. I want to wire it into the car as a permanant fixture.
I'm going to wire the Red 12v via a relay which should be fine.
I am also going to be using the Yellow signal wire and Brown Ground wire to connect to my Hp tuners pro. It says in the afx instructions when using the Analog output feature, to ground the brown analog signal ground to the same location as the 2 black wires. As well as connecting it the Hp tuners.
Would it be a good idea to ground all earths of the Afx to the engine block since this is the electronic earth for all other engine sensors or would this cause other issues ?

Or do you just connect the 12v red to a switched power via a relay. Then the black earths to a good body earth. ( my battery is in the rear on the car ) and the brown and yellow analog wires straight to the Hp tuners?

You can pipe the brown wire into pin 5 on the interface. I have two NGK AFXs, and one has a redundant ground connecting the brown wire directly to the two black wires. I have no voltage drift with my plain wired one compared to the redundant ground version.

Ground the wideband directly to the battery negative. That will give you the best results.

So just wire the red to a switched 12v and the 2 black earths back to the battery. And wire the yellow and black to pin 1 and 5 on the Hp tuners.

    Yes.

I'd probably use a relay to trigger the power on the AFX just so you can pull actual power straight from the battery positive as well.

Do you have any recommendations on a relay to use?

I was thinking about something along the lines of a Cubed 12vdc 15A relay.

Bring an old thread up, how do you know which pin is which on the interface?

If you have hptuners there is a picture if you go into help that shows what each is. You can always google it in the images, that is what I had to do once when I didn't have my laptop.

    Cool appreciate the help.

Also do y'all leave it in permanently or did you have to extend any of the wires?
