    lnf maf calibration problems

cant quite seem to get maf freq near 0. thought i had it going for a sec then i got some more 2s and 3s after pasting %, not half, 3 times then by half % the 4th time. i set the base to all 1s, then unplugged the evap purge, the tube not the electrical connection and didnt get a code ever, then flashed that and logged 4 times. just couldnt seem to get it to go down and stay down across the board. didnt even bother modifying the base table since i couldnt get the maf right. went ahead and plugged the evap back up and gave up for the night.

did i do something wrong initially or not follow the directions quite right?

unplugging the tube will still result in vac leak when purge valve activated.

Are you talking about the fuel trims, they look fine to me, you can't expect the stft to be at 0 all the time.

still new to this but yeah its the ltft+stft vs maf frequency histogram im using to calibrate the maf. from what ive read after pasting % through the frequency range its suppose to get me close to +/- 0 but i keep getting 2s and 3s.

was i suppose to disconnect the evap wire connector or the actual evap tube? all i saw was to disconnect the evap purge with no clear distinction between the connector and tube so i disconnected the tube. could that have been throwing me off?

That's normal, you can do this a 100 times and it'll still go up and down but be no where near 0 everywhere.

Here's one setup that needs adjustment

    And here's yours... you're fine.

awesome thats good to know. quick question, if i set my redline to 7k should i have my graph set up to 7k or is this the most the editor will let me see/use?

no because it auto calulates base off of the last value in the graph.

guess theres not much need for it unless you wanted to fine tune it.

still cant get the maf freq to get everything around +/- 1%, keep getting 2s and 3s and 4s. tired of dealing with it and went ahead and calibrated the base table anyway. is the log good enough to start tuning or do i need to calibrate it again/better?

Your ltft is 0.8 at the end of the log, that's good enough, you can't get your stft's down to 0 its impossible.

cool cool. i was just trying to go off of byts guide which says everything will get close to 0 but as long as its close enough tune accurately then thats fine with me. kind of tired doing the same step over and over lol.

They like to sit slightly positive for some reason when the stft's are nulled out.
