how do i tune ve without a wideband?

all i have is an lm2 inovate wideband setup, i dont have the professional hptuners interface. from what i gather you have to tune the ve before you tune the maf. i understand tuning the maf but what do i need to do for the ve. or is there a good write up that im missing?

Search "wideband through egr" it will give you an idea or two on how to log with your current setup. I think its by 5litereater.
