Guys,

all Camaros from 2010 will not stay in 6th gear above 143 mph (or 230 kph), no matter what you do or what shift mode you use, it seems hardcoded to down shift to 5th and stay there until redline.

Might be no issue for the US, but here on free Autobahn you want to cruise at 160 mph for longer time and there is no need at a high revving 5th gear if you could do it in 6th gear.

Any Vette keeps 6th gear at those speeds, Camaros don't.

can the OS be swapped from a Vette into a Camaro F.e.? Or Firmware upgrade?

it is not tuning related, I played with with very long on a loaded dyno and you can alter shift speed and it will F.e. upshift at WOT into 6th at let's say 135 mph (stock values prohibit it actually) but at exactly 143 it'll shift down no matter what. I got it working on 2 2009 Camaros and they had a different TCM too....

if you try on manual mode with altered shift speeds it'll flickers back and forth between M5 and M6, so the TCM is overriding the shift speed command.

any clues besides using a Vette TCM inside a Camaro transmission?

Camaro TCM OS 24249179, Vette TCM OS 24251030....
