    screen shots

saw a random post a while back about taking a screen shot of a currently open hpt table or window without taking a screen shot of the whole screen. cant remember how its done or what thread it was mentioned in.

can anyone help me out as to how to do this?

I do believe you'd need a third party program.

you can do it with the snipping tool that comes with win7 but i thought it was something simpler than that.

Print Screen will scrape your entire screen (most notebooks require Fn+Print Scrn). Alt+Print Screen will scrape your window in focus (notebooks Alt+Fn+Print Scrn).

Also, if you need something that is a bit more robust yet free and portable (nothing to install) try FastStone Capture. SnagIt is great but expensive for a screen shot util.

I use Paint Shop Pro 9 (old) by Jasc. Also 'Snag it' works but I like the old psp better.

Since I Am Broke brought it up, I use gimp for editing and you could use it also for captures.
