Who has made the main, idle base, and coastdown spark tables all the same? I've had issues with jumping between timing tables at low speed causing a surge since the timing is quite different between the tables. From what I've read this seems to be a common occurance.
The question that noone seems to be able to answer is what determines which table is being referenced and how to change that. Some have had luck with bringing the values of the tables closer to each other to reduce the amount of timing change when the ECU jumps between tables. I've use other aftermarket systems with only one main timing table that work just fine. You just adjust the timing values for idle and coastdown at the load/speed that the engine idles or coasts down at. Why not do that here? I mean do we really need completely seperate tables for idle and coastdown?
