    How do I increase the IAC Park Position?

    Tried searching and either I'm not looking in the right place or ..........

    I am trying to get my car to start better with the big cam it has. Right now I have it set so the TB blade is open as much as possible and still keeps me at 0% throttle and ~20-30 IAC hot idle. To get it to start and stay running, I turn the key, crank with very slight throttle and hold it for 10 seconds and then let off. Then, it idles just fine. It will start much better if I crack the TB open more with the adjuster screw, but then I get 0 for the IAC at hot idle and 2% tps and around .9V. I was thinking that if I raise the IAC park position to a higher value, it would be equivilant to opening the throttle more at start up?????

    I did remove the TPS, slot the holes and remove a small amount of material from the locating pin on it. That allowed me to open the TB blade further and still have 0% TPS when running. I really can't open it much more with out getting 0 IAC at hot idle.

    Car is 00 z28, 238/246/111 cam with ported FAST 92 intake and TB.

    Is my logic making sense or am I going about this the wrong way????

    Use the russk idle config and adjust your base running airflow table

    sounds like a RAF issues or might need timing tweaked on cranking.

    i'll attach the tune when I get home. I was able to push the IAC value up and down based off of timing at idle. Didn't look to see what it was at cranking.
    I am modifying a "Professional" tune that was done to my car.

    Download the attatched config. Start scanning before you start the car and let it fully warm up without touching the throttle. If you are auto you need to do this in p/n and in d. Then you take the data from the histogram and paste those numbers into the base running airflow table under idleairflow tab.

    Another thing before doing the idle airflow adjustment is to make sure your fueling is where is should be. If you are too rich or too lean that will affect idle quality.

    Is it possible to get 14.7 out of a big cam like this if measuring with a wideband in the collector of the header?

    In a sense that cam is not all that big... it is possible to get 14.7 but should really consider using terms on lambda and taking into account you EOIT and overlap when looking at idle and cruise fueling
