    PASSLOCK & VATS the same ?

    My Wifes '99 Tahoe has a Passlock code due to a worn key.I have reset the Passlock & it is still giving me problems.
    Can I disable the VATS / PASSLOCK & kill the problem or do I have to replace the Ignition Cylinder ? I have a new Key cut from the Dealer but it still is locking the vehicle down some of the time .

    Can a MOD tell me if this will disable the PASSLOCK by disabling the VATS ? Then allow the vehicle to start .

    Yes it is the same ,I disabled the VATS & all is good .Starts & runs great !
