i have 2.23 beta, is there a newer version or a stable version? I was not aware I was getting a beta version when I purchased it. I have tried everything to get it to function with windows 8 and just cannot seem to get anywhere with it

    try 2.23.8xx or newer.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

How would one do this? I bought the software last week and just received it in the mail? I hope you are not sending out outdated software?

You still have not offerred any useful instructions for how I get your product to work? If you want me to download more current software than you ship out, is it too much to ask that you provide me with instructions as to how to do that?

Im struggling with the install on my system with Windows 8 (which I hate)

Following the directions in a link provided, with the drivers on my desktop the computer does not see them?

    Getting confused!

You need to actually install the drivers, saving them to your desktop effectively does nothing.

You can see the device manager just like the old windows. You can use the ? And go to windows accessory type device manager, then it will show that and then use the device manager to install, just like HP says to install on old windows. You can call me and I can help you.

I was trying to load them manually. I got to the drivers section and was able to load them after unzipping them.

Drivers clearly read A and B now. So with that said, The 2 icons that showed up on the start menu for HPT do nothing when they are clicked on...

    So again...Im confused!

Thanks for the help, im apparently windows 8 retarded....

    Wow win 8 is weird.

I will say though I just got done installing it on Ryan's PC and it went pretty smoothly and appeared to open & function properly, just make sure you are running a newer beta ie 2.23.800 or newer if you run into issues, that seems to be the biggest mistake is people are installing old versions and then wondering why the icons aren't responding. Seems the newer builds fixes this.

Bill, think if there was a way to know the CD .800 when we get a Bata 2.23 we think it is the newest. I remember you telling us you build to ship and do not keep VCM in stock so buy from Summit and get it faster. I bought direct from HP so we think the CD is the latest.

There is so much crap on Win8 and not needed stuff for tablets.

We make a new batch of cd's about once every 3 months or as necessary with firmware/software updates. Buying directly from us or via a reseller you are still getting the same disk. Many of our resellers just have us drop ship as we have product in stock and shipping very quickly 99% of the time. Theres only been a few hiccups over the past couple of years when we ran out of stock but that was on our supplier not us ie they just fell behind.

Bottom line is you can feel confident buying from us or your favorite reseller
