Computer question??

Well I have hopefully have gotten one step closer to getting my hp tuners. I received this gateway laptop for Christmas, and I just want to make sure it is ok for my tuning needs here is the link.

This will only be a computer used for tuning really. I did notice there is not a serial port, but do not see that to be a prob as I can pick up an adapter no problem. I hope this is okay hate to break the news and have to bring it back lol.

should be fine.

Unless you plan on purchasing a 7+ year old serial style interface which we no longer produce nor support, all of our current interfaces have a usb connection, not serial.

Bump this back up please I finally got hp tuners. I am able to install the software, but when I plug my interface in I am not prompted for the drivers at all. If I look at devices it can see the interface is there, but that is all. The computer is windows 7 the link above. I just spoke with a computer tech he said this will not work. I just want to verify with anyone else.
To be more clear I hope, I am able to complete step 1 and that is all. Step2 doesn't come up like in this link.
