    Ecotec VSS questions

    New guy here, needing help.
I have a 2005 2.2l Ecotec swapped into the back of my VW Baja. I have been driving it since March, but it has a small driveablility issue I would like to improve on.
It has the stock ECU and I am currently working with a local tuner (he uses HP Tuners) to install a VSS on the car. I am going to have to build a reluctor ring for my car. The stock reluctor ring has 30 teeth on it. There is a 16 tooth ring available that will fit on my Bug trans.
My question is this: What are the parameters (pulses per mile?) that I need to stay within?
With a 24" tire and the original reluctor ring, that calculates to 25,222 pulses per mile.
With the 16 tooth reluctor ring and 31" tires, I would get 10,414 pulses per mile.
I am not using it run a speedo, I just need it for the input to the ECU. Can HP Tuners compensate for that much difference?
I appreciate the help. Let me know if you need any more info.
    Tim

Do you have a manual transmission? If so you could just max out your trans. tables like in a manual tune.

You can adjust it with HPTuners. This is from a stock auto cavalier.

That is the answer I was looking for.
Just to clarify, the range is 1024 to 262140 pulses per mile?
    Thanks!
