    Injector swap

I'm helping a friend swap a 2005 L33 (Aluminum 5.3) into a '63 Buick. The motor is stock except he had to remove the truck intake and injectors for an intake and injectors from a 2001 LS1 for hood clearance. The truck injectors are part number 25317628 and are supposed to flow 25.2 lbs/hr at 58 psi. He had the LS1 injectors flow tested and they flowed about 29.8 lbs/hr at 58 psi. Are these injectors close enough to run for a baseline, or am I going to have to copy the tables from an 2001 Ls1 before we start it to be safe?

EDIT: The LS1 injectors were supposed to be off a 2001, but the part number is 12555894, which is a 99-00 27.3 lbs/hr injector. Funny thing is they tested 25.8 @43.5 pounds which would be 29.79 at 58#.

    Thanks
    Steve

don't know if im gonna be much help but if you cant use the stock 5.3 injectors with the ls1 intake then just use the oem flow rate data for the injector you choose and it should be close enough. the stock 5.3 injectors should be fine unless you put I big cam in or forced induction.

this is a 5 year old thread dude... pull the tune from a 03-6 non-flex truck and use that information.
