Can a locked file be read by another tuner?

What exactly does locking the file protect?

What can't it stop or protect?

they cannot read or write to the PCM. Also, if for some reason (i dunno why) you emailed someone else a tunerlocked .hpt file they will not be able to open it.

They could still scan the PCM however.
