    Can VCM Suite read LS1EditFiles?

I currently own LS1Edit. I want to purchase VCM Suite and emerge from the dark ages. I currently have some files that I would like to keep and to maintain with VCM Suite. I suppose I could load them back into the PCM, then read them with VCM Suite, but that is dangerous and inefficient. Is there a conversion utility? ???

    There is no conversion utility.

The only way would be to load them back in the PCM like you mentioned.

LS1Edit makes the writing dangerous and inefficient
but that's about the only way to go about it. I don't
think their editor lets you cut-n-paste in/out of the
tables the way HPTuners does? If it did, that would
be the non-PCM-risking way (but more tedious).

On the plus side if you fry your PCM HPTuners doesn't
care if you pop in a spare instead. So if you can get
through a couple or three writes in a row with Edit,
without a hang, your worries would be over.

    Hey, it could happen. :P

if other software "fries" your VCM we can recover it (as long as you read the VCM first and have a .bin file to recover with).

on multi segmented bins we are yet to find a VCM we cannot recover from a calibration flashing error.

VCM Suite Pro has the power to truly fry your VCM (erase/corrupt critical operating system code) if an unrecoverable error occurs during the first few % of an entire VCM rewrite. Thats the risk that comes with the power...
