    Tuning LS376/480 Crate in 2005 Vette (E40ECM)

    Hello all,
I'm new to the art of engine tuning and need some assistance with a project. My background is in electrical engineering.
I've installed an LS376/480 GMPP crate engine into a 2005 Vette with an E40 ECM. I have a Lingenfelter TGR-002 doing the 58x to 24x conversion. The OEM tune for the 2005 vette runs the engine but not so well (that was expected). I have the tune from the E67 that came with the engine; simply pasting the tables into the E40 has not made much improvement in the idling or throttle response.

Has anyone here had experience with this type of conversion? Does anyone here have a tune that I can use as a base to get the car going? Or some guidance on creating a base tune?

I plan to find a pro with a dyno to make the final adjustments.

    Thanks!

Can you upload both tunes that you have now?

    2005 Silverado RCSB. Forged 370 LQ9/Borg-Forced Inductions T6 S484/Jake's Stage 4 4L80E with D3 Brake/4WD.

I'll upload them shortly. I have the tune I downloaded off the stock E40 and the E65 tune I got from the download section of the HPTuners site (I didn't want to waste credits connecting to the E65 I have). Some more background: I'm using all the sensors that came with the crate engine except the coolant temp sensor. That came from the LS2 engine. By using the scanner I know for sure that the IAT calibration is off.

Just my 0.02. I would just set up and use the E67. Or start changing over the E40 sensors like TAC,APP sensors.

The E65 will not talk to the body control module or instrument cluster in the car. My goal is to have a fully functional conversion.

Bhat. Did you ever get anywhere with this? I have a client that has put the same crate motor in his firebird with a E38 PCM. I am trying to figure out how to convert the Gen 4 Tune to a Gen 3, but haveing some concerns with things like the ETC Scaler and so on. Geeze it would be great to see what you might have done to work out some of thes issues. Thank you
