    96 Camaro 3800 v6....0411 swap possible?

Looking to do a PCM swap in a 96 Camaro with a 3800 v6...I've been searching around a bit and it seems everyone is doing a 97 pcm swap that is tune-able with HPTuners, but my question is will the 0411 PCM from the 5.3 trucks and other vehicles work for this engine and harness? With a re-pinning of course. Looking to run some boost with an SD map later on...but for now it is just N/A with a cam, built trans, etc, and would still be worlds better with SD I feel.

    Thanks!

Im not sure, but I know you'd have to use a 4.3L V6 OS/cal and change the firing order to match that of the 3800 (either repin the injectors or change it in the tune).

I think I am going to give it a try...it seems like it should be fairly straight forward with that in mind. And if it doesn't work, I'm out $150 and some time...big whoop.

The only v6 o/s for the 0411 is the 4.3. It uses a 3x crank reluctor and 1x cam reluctor. It also uses a distributor. None of this is compatible with your 3800. I know of some people playing with the possibility, but requires a lot of custom fab and software writing that is a ways off. Stick to your v6 pcm, it will do plenty. I have friend running 10s on a maf v6 turbo 3800 tune.
