In speed density does the low octane and high octan tables need to be the same?

I've heard this and I've seen many people who subscribe to this in their tuning. Also is there calculations and tables that aren't visible in hptuners that affect timing? I have seen timing pulled in my datalogs and don't see anything in any of the tables that would cause it.

in sd it uses the low octane table.
as for the timing being pulled, check you iat adders, and burst knock tables.
