    2006 LaCrosse 3.8

    Hi there,

The 2006 Buick LaCrosse 3.8 isn't listed as a supported vehicle, and I didn't find anything using the search function. Does anyone know if the this vehicle/engine combination is supported?

    Thanks a lot,

With our product its not about the engine/vehicle combination its about the pcm.

with that said I'm pretty sure these use a pcm that is currently unsupported.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Is there really that much difference between a Lacrosse pcm and a Pontiac Grand Prix 3.8, Monte Carlo 3.8 or Impala 3.8?

Maybe no so much on the PCM side but on how it talks with everything else. How it talks with the dash and those systems, as well as the ABS system and traction control.

There is however a huge different in computers used on various vehicles though.

The Grand Prix used a computer for 97 only, then 98-03 was another but after 2001 they added more emissions testing to the computer. Then 2003 was also a year only computer because of the transmission control differences. Then 2004-2007 was a new gen of computer.

Monte carlo and impala used the same style computer from 2000-2005 before the 3.8 was dropped and they went with a new style computer for the 3.5 and 3.9 engines.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.
