Its C2 - 28 Brown on the connector at the PCM..

On the connector at the EGR it is the brown wire... This is referencing the 1999 GTP Grand Prix schematics.

Pin C on the EGR plug.. if this is not the right one for your car, post what you have and I will try to look it up. I have the latest Michell.

so are you saying that you have to "properly warm your sensor up?"
or it will shorten its lifespan? I usually turn car on, wait 20 seconds, then turn on WB.
EDIT: nevermind VIPER says that the AEM has a built in heater

it needs to be powered up anytime you have the car running..
most widebands have their own heater in them.
you do not need the wideband to be fully warmed up when you start your car, and in general you want your car running as soon as its warm or before it finishes warming up...leaving it sit in the exhaust pipes can alloow fpr condensation to form due to the o2 being warmer than the outside air or its surrounding surfaces(its caled the dew point)...this moisture can ruin any sensor...by starting the car at the same time or close to the same time as the sensor gets power you can use the exhaust to blow off any moisture as it forms, and prolong the life of the sensor.
also...leaving the sensor on for prolonged periods of time with no exhaust or air movement will also shorten the life of the sensor(due to overheating)

    hey Scott,
I'm having trouble getting 0-5 volt through EGR.
is there a way to do it through the A/c system?
I notice that the A/c system has 2 plugs, 1 on the compressor,
and 1 on the condenser line. I removed my A/c.

I took off my EGR plug and the exhaust smoked and smoked!

I think I might have damaged my PCM through with the 0-5v through the EGR.
When I have my EGR hooked up normally, it sets off p0403 and p0405.

I think I will just buy the EIO since I cant get this to work out.
In the meantime, I am using my PE to SET MY AFR CORRECTLY. haha

I am still not 100% about what wires my buddy was using.....but I know he used the EGR connector on his V8 camaro to do this with....

I doubt you damaged the PCM...only thing you coul dhave done is connected wires wrong and caused the 5v reference signal to now not work...

cant tell you for sure anything on v6...I just know its possible to use other sensor connectors to get signal in to monotor it....problems are usually when the PCM is seeing a drastically different signal than its used to and it throws a code...

if you are having issue's with the AEM gauge reading --- instead displaying the correct readout, there is a required update to the software of the gauge, have installed a couple that did this most noticeable when it is cold outside, you can call AEM's tech-line and the will give you a RMA number and flash it for free you just have to pay the shipping to them

    Everythings 100%!
I even got some AEM software, its a datalogger I guess.
Called AEMPro v1.0 / AEM Log / AEM classic

If I turn on the gauge without the motor running it will display 15.0:1 which is not stoich (14.7), shouldnt it read 14.7?

wierd i checked it before i sent it and it read 14.7:1 right before i uninstalled it

try taking it out of the exuast pipe dis conect the guage turn on car for about a minute (don't start it) then of reconnect the sensor (leaving it out in the open air.) see if that works

this tells the AEM theres a "new" sensors and calibrates it

i think it will always do that, even after 6+ hrs.
I have an open y-pipe, and the sensor is about 5" inches away from the open air. lol

    Hey slow6
Were you successful at connecting your WB output to the AC pressure input?
It would be the 3-wire connector that WAS on your condensor line
You would need to connect it to Terminal B -the middle wire (red/blk) or to PCM connector C2 pin 27 (same color)
(based on 2000 GP 3.8 schematics)
