I need someone to test on the following:

On a Gen 4 and a Gen 5 viper, connect to the vehicle in VCM Scanner 3.0 or newer.
On the Channels form, click the Open icon, and at the bottom click Load Vehicle Defaults.

Start logging the vehicle and put it under some load.

    Attach the log file here.

I think the viper may be logging Commanded EQ Ratio (SAE) as phi, not lambda. If this is the case, I can fix it for future versions.

Hasn't it always logged as phi? Regardless, I might be able to check this weekend if you don't have a Gen 4 log by that time.

Well, looking back at my logs (from early EARLY software), it was logged as phi.

All Ford, and almost All GM, and it seems like most Dodge log as Lambda.

3.0 makes using EQ ratio much better, but we need to get the source units right..

We have the default EQ ratio (SAE) pid set to lambda... for vehicles set to phi, I can make custom definitions for them to fix it... then the scanner and layouts work beautifully with no funky stuff.

I've logged it in nearly all of mine, and it's always been phi. Back when I was using the 2.24 scanner, it was an easy way to tell if mine was logging KR since the value of the EQ ratio would change if KR was present...kept me from having to log all 10 KR PIDs. Guess that isn't much of an issue now with 2.25/3.0, but it worked at the time.

Definitely fixed for Gen 4 - it registers phi, lambda, and the AFRs just like it should. Nice touch.

The Gen 5 uses a different process. We need a test car to finish it.

I still want to know the Gen 5 EQ ratio, if it reports lambda or phi, so I can fix it like I did with Gen 4.

Also when will the credits required be lowered. 20 credits is excessive. And more so the fact that we still have to use a dealer tool to get it working.

Not likely any time soon, the development work required to get the venom product offered was substantial.

Looks like the newer vipers also log commanded EQ ratio in phi.

This will be fixed in tomorrows 3.0.

How is the throttle relearn done on the Gen4s? When I open the VCM controls in the scanner there is absolutely nothing in there.

It was available for a short period of time in the later 2.25 beta series, but it wasn't as user friendly as they wanted. It didn't make the cut for 3.0 since it wasn't totally finished, but you can request 3.1 beta through Mark@HPTuners if you really need it. I know they are still working on it, but it's one of many things on their plate.
