torque management pulls timing right, Is this visible on HPTuners scanner as retard?
In some cases, it is shown as KR (for the 6's. I assume it would be the same for the 8's).
It will also just pull timing, so keep an eye on your timing tables. I usually run about 35* and when I had some TM remaining on my tune, no KR, but dropped to 9*.
You will see the drop in spark advance. I think there
may be some other new PIDs for various spark
elements. TM is not KR (but a shift could set off the
knock sensors by banging stuff, etc. or by pushing
the engine through a bad region for fueling accuracy
/ timing tolerance).
In beta 2.0 I see a Torque Management Advance
PID which might be your ticket (if this is an option
in your current version, and if it goes showing
negative then you can figure it's telling you TM).
If not then I guess you just look at advance and
watch it slam back during shifts. This is all I've ever
looked at personally when fiddling TM around.
