Basic question: How do I load a tune from the tune repository?

Hey all, just purchased HP Tuners Pro from a forum seller, it has 8 credits. Car in question is an 01 Z06. I just installed LG longtubes. I left the front o2's disconnected, and used the rear o2 sensors, using adapters from Racetronix. Car runs like shit. Surges/ bucks, you name it. Anyhow, since this is such a basic mod, I did a search in the tune repository and found a tune that is basically my exact combo... C5 Z06, LG longtubes, no cats, K&N intake. How do I go about loading the repository tune on my car? I tried to open the file in VCM Editor and it wouldn't allow me, saying it wouldn't allow me as I don't have a license for the file.

    We really don't recommend it.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Either you have to license the file as well, which means you will pay 4 credits to tune 1 car, and you will be doing so at your own risk. Tunes in the repository may have differences in the file that you don't initially see, and can cause adverse problems. They are basically there for compare purposes. YOur best bet is to open your file, then open the repository tune in the compare function, then copy and paste the info you find relevant to your vehicle

I bet your O2 sensors are crossed. Rear O2s go to the opposite sides on Vettes. Look at the fuel trims. If one side is way + and the other side is way - they are crossed.

he is using the adapters that use rear o2's but use front harness, so they should still be on correct side. But it is a good idea to trace the wires and verify

You guys were right... I had the o2 sensors swapped. Reversed them, and all is well! Car drives like stock. Is the car safe to go to the track like this? I'm unsure about whether I should hook up the HP Tuners and at the minimum delete the front o2's. The check engine light has not gone on yet.
