I'm still working that part out, but it can definitely be logged

    Fantastic work Eric.
It's nice to have another software company which supports the ZF.
    It ain't a monopoly anymore.

You should be able to read this stock ZF tune with the latest Beta.

Some of you may know but ill chime in to help out anyone who is about to start playing with the zf calibration

If you overshoot on a calibration and try to get it back to stock and find that the results dont get you there you need to start adding kms of driving to the zf for it to "come back" to stock levels, this may include upto 1000kms of driving while flashing the stock file in several times over this km journey

The tcm is very unforgiving so take baby steps and be sure you know what your doing as its not like the engine tune where it will react as desired

In a forward motion the tcm accepts changes instantly but going back requires time and kms so do not be shocked if thos happens

Thank you Tony that clears up a lot, I can open this file and look at the tables. When Eric does the "other OS" us BA (and Territory) boys will be very happy indeed.

So from the Australian Ford Forums:

    http://www.fordforums.com.au/showpos...87&postcount=3

I am guessing that HP Tuners will able to:

    • Control manual mode downshifting
    • Eliminate holding second gear till standstill

The first would be great for the Dyno and fixing the second will make driving much nicer as the car will not jump back to first just as you take off.

Hopefully in the future we will be able get a training course as Herrods pointed out that:

"This is a brief point form description of the kind of effects and results that can be achieved via adjustment and calibration of the several hundred files in the transmission"

    Which is kinda daunting.

Once this gets established we really need to start pushing HP Tuners on the Ford Forums.

    Brilliant work Eric/HP Tuners.

    Eric,

Jet is on the money there, I've found they can misbehave slightly after a rebuild too, is there anything in the TCM that allows a reset of the adaptive learning for TCM? Would be handy

Surely a write entire would clear the adaptations?

EDIT: Also Forscan can clear PCM adaptions. Perhaps we should request they add the same function for ZF's?

If the sct boys cant crack it with the support they get i think we will be very far trailing

But a "reset button" would be of value to more than just us

We can probably handle the TCM reset in the scanner. I would think disconnecting the battery would clear the adaptives on this controller though...

It doesnt seem too Eric, ive tried it after doing a box build on one car, and not doing it in the next. Both cars still took roughly 1000kms of driving to come good

OK, I'll investigate this once the 2.25 scanner comes out.

OK, todays build has some of the trans pressure tables (Oncoming and Offgoing) for the up and downshifts. More to come tomorrow.

Here's a link I just found for different calibrations for the TCM's, I'm sure there would be more though. Hopefully between the same models they kept the same calibration offset!

Eric, How are you travelling with the other strategy for the B Series? My new heavy duty CV's have arrived so the Uterus will be ready for a hiding tonight!
I can have play around with the ZF stuff and see what I can break
