Thread: Load Hptuners TUNES to handhelds, programmers or scanners?

    At this point, the nguage is a bust for gms. So many applications now that are working, and giving better options. The ezlynk, is an excellent option, cn load tunes via the cloud, remotely, and gives you tons of display options, like ipads and tablets.
    the nguage was a great idea, but was very slow on development, and has now been surpassed. Just saw the other day another handheld that loads multiple tunes using hptuners.

    Opinions will vary. It would be hard to call it a bust for GM because it just started supporting GM. The nGauge device has a solid following and has been successful in the Ford market.
    I sell those other handhelds, too. They all have their pros, cons, and that's why the menu has many flavors.

    The nGauge does not require a cloud, has analog inputs and you can load tunes direct to it. It's worth it to a lot of people.

    So where is the ball getting dropped on the GM support of this? I'm willing to be a tester if they're needing support and feedback. But good hell........how long has it been now. I'm definitely looking for any alternative. At this point, they'd probably be ahead of the curve to create an android based version of HP Editor, and then find some 5 to 7" android based, dash mounted device to communicate bluetooth to the OBD2, and still have the ability to scan and write.

    GM is now supported.
    E38 is technically still "beta", but it's been some time now, it's stable and it's in a good number of gen5 camaros.
    E67 is also working and stable, but a bit younger beta.
    E92 beta JUST launched last week.

    why cant hpt do what efi live did years ago its a win win situation and yes ive used the efi brick and its cool and worth the money and customers dont mind spending a bit more for several tunes dig?

    I'm going to dig this up from the past. What are the best options for us at this point. I'm not a heavy tuner, but I'd love to offer simple things like VCT turn offs for the 5.4 3v and such remotely. Something I could sell and mail out for people to do the lockouts themselves and flash the tune.

    MPVI2 is $299 and if you are an MPVI2 customer it doesn't cost you any credits to edit/save changes to a file. For now that is the solution. With that said we have lots of other things going on for the future.
    It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    What Bill said. As for the hand held stuff, Edge cts2 is the only option worth trying in my opinion right now. The ngauge deal was a flop.

    I have a question about this. If I sell my customer a new interface and remote tune it. Do I have to by credits for my interface and his?

    My boss and I were talking about this earlier today actually.

    if YOU have an MPVI2, the answer is no. But for more details I recommend you open a ticket with sales or email sales at hptuners.com with any further questions and we'll be happy to answer.
