I know you've been bothered enough on this probably, but any chance on handhelds this year? Really getting tired of SCT tuners missing stuff in their files to fully program a vehicle just because customers want handhelds. Had to help sct out a lot on this this last year getting their missing tables installed for gm vehicles...

Will there be a package in the future where I can purchase VCM Editor with an nGauge tuner?

Hi Eric will the older Dashdaq XL have support for tune importing or exporting etc? or is the Ndash the only one that can do it?.

Apologies for my first post being a question, but I'm struggling to get my nGauge to work with my car. Here are the specs:
    Vehicle = 2015 Ford GT 5.0 TC-1791, Ford

    nGauge Firmware = 0.0.0.120
    nGauge BIOS = 0.0.0.26

I'm saving the config.channel XML file in a "configs" folder on the SD card
    and
I'm saving the .HPT tune file in a "custom files" folder on the SD card

Problem is my nGauge does not recognize the .HPT tune file or the .XML dataloging config file that the scanner is saving

    What am I doing wrong?

I would like to purchase the nGauge, I would like to know if I need to run wide-band 02 sensors, if i'm keeping a stock tune. Also what is needed to interface with the tach, oil pressure and water temp? can someone from hp tuners please answer here or be willing to contact me over the phone?

what a joke. You guys waste your time advertising on a major network and when your loyal customers inquire about it you can't even respond. Thanks.

Here's what I know so far, Lund racing has been selling the nGauge for 'yote motors and f-150's. Their firmware is exclusive and locked, meaning you can't make your own tunes. I've spoke with John from Lund racing he was very friendly and was willing to email my questions to people higher in the company. Plus they have plenty of happy customers, But I have a LS1 which they don't tune, at-least not yet. Zeitronix has also been selling them for a while. Their nGuage comes with their drivers. but they don't advertise them as being "locked" so you may be able to load your own tunes into it. I called them as well. They said the guy I needed to talk to was out for lunch. I left my name and number, but he hasn't called me back yet. I do know they want you to buy their zt-2 or zt-3 for interfacing extra sensors. So that leaves us with HP Tuners they are the newest seller and are supposed to let you create your own tunes. They too will provide exclusive drivers that allows hp tuners to run smoothly. There may be a few bugs to work out. I submitted a question ticket to them over the weekend, but they haven't contacted me.

The nGauge has two analog inputs for things like water temp or oil pressure. But if you need one more sensor reading like I do, you need to buy a interfacing module (slightly confused on details, like which one to buy for which tuning program or does it even matter?). or you might need a module for all of them. at this point i'm just not sure how a single wire sensor is convert to serial port. If you want to read 02 sensors on this system it seems like you would need a devise that has 5v for it to read AFR. Once again I'm not sure the nGuage needs 5v to read the o2 sensors. Can the ngauge read o2 sensors if they are narrow-band? Other features are the ability to read and clear codes, you can set the gauge to read up to 4 or 6 different sensor readings at one time. Its basically an Aeroforce Interceptor but the data logging is more complete as the aeroforce can only data log two sensor at a time, with the nGuage you can data log something like 24 PIDs at a time. The nGauge can load a tune to your VCM in under 4 mins even faster on 5.0l mustangs which is something like a minute and a half. The nGauge's AFR reaction is quick and doesn't seem to lag like the PLX is known for. Basically is seems to be the answer we've been waiting on. Now we just need good customer service to purchase all the items needed and get these gauges running.

So I was able to purchase a Snap-on MODIS on ebay for a great price. It does everything I needed the nGauge for and more. As my skills increase I will be able to fully utilize its functions. It allows you to do relearns for when installing new sensors. its comes with a wealth of knowledge about whatever it is your testing. It can read all PIDs, record live data, store that data, your can see data in graphs up to 8 at a time. its a scope/ multi- meter which is beyond useful for diagnostics. its also bi-directional so you can test sensors, fans, relearns. you can load HPT into the MODIS and load tunes through it. It can clear codes but also had a database call troubleshooting for all codes and symptoms. i'm just starting to learn all its capable of.

The price is comparable to the nGauge, which is 460 without a tune or suite, then the modules for sensors are $75-275 a piece add in taxes and a used modis is competitively priced.

Might have to let things cycle to find the next deal. but 800 with nothing extra is still acceptable, when these things came out years ago they cost 10 grand.

nGauge cost break down(the best I can figure):
    460 for device
    275 for 02 sensor mod
    75 for water temp mod
    150 for oil pressure mod
(more modules needed if other readings desired)
    $50 tax
    $735 without tune or suite

A Modis isn't even comparable to an nGauge. Why do you need all these additional modules anyway? You can log that stuff.

In my opinion compared to efi live , sct and others the nguage is way overpriced for us poor people to make andy money , already struggling with credit costs
