Greetings everyone here!
I'm very novice to tuning (no experience), and quite new to the forum - was reading a lot and playing with my tune, so pardon to dumb question (but as I can see you guys are very friendly in such cases))).
What do I have hardware-wise:
jeep 6.4 my14, forged rods and pistons, long tube headers+no cats+exhaust, non-mds lifter with appropriate cam, supercharger@10psi, tuned by a local specialist. initially he (the tuner) used cmr, but recently by bloody intune handheld died with no option to even get back the original stock tune, so I switched to hp tuners and thus got an opportunity to look at the tune myself. I have no wideband, worth to mention.
I upload the files:
- original tune done by the tuner, logs of a ride with it.
- current tune where I did quite a bunch of changes, logs of start-idle-ride as well. What I played around was: airflow, fuel (inj pw), a very little bit of VE tables, tb parameters, did not touch spark.
Why I started to adjust the tune by myself:
- well, there's always a room for improvement))
- I have a nasty surge and backfires which I cannot get rid of, only after cold start at mild load (when pushing gently the throttle) at around 1200rpm; as the engine warms up - first backfire dissappears and then the surge almost go away.
- misfires with p0300 are detected irregularly: if you look at the no_misfire.hpl - almost none at 10 min drive; suspect that the reasons are the same or almost so with the previous issue.
- after reading different topics and starting to analyze the logs of initial tune - it seemed to me that there is smth wrong (knocks, misfires etc). tell me if I was wrong, and I shall rollback, if that is the case.
What I'd like the respectful society here to ask for is:
- to look at the tune I have now and the logs and advice, what to adjust/correct;
- to advice where to look at more concerning this annoying surge-at-cold issue;
- as well, not bothering, but still: my idle seems a bit unstable - rpm deviates quite a lot - is that normal at all? not sure.
