Chrysler has been known to release anywhere from 1 dozen to 100 operating systems for any model in any model year. We have many of them already defined but you may still have to email support with the files.

    Hi, Mark,
I found out about your tuner on post #12 on this page:
    http://www.avengerforumz.com/threads...4/#post-257509

Nobody seems to support the Chrysler 2.4/40TES, even if they list it on their supported vehicles page.
Upon inquiry, they say "well, we support the 2.7 and bigger motors, but not the 2.4."

What I want to do is change the shift points on the 40TES transmission.
(40TES is basically a light duty 41TE, with a shallower bell housing)
I don't need to tune the engine at all. Long story.

    I saw the shift table in your help screen/table editor;
if it works on my 2009 Dodge Avenger 2.4/40TES, it is PERFECT.
Has anyone tried the VCM suite in a 41TE/40TES transmission?

If your VCM suite will help me change the shift points, I will buy it in a heartbeat.

    Thanks, --Douglas

The 2.4L that your Dodge Avenger is equipped with is supported. But the transmission is not supported, sorry.

*Note: 2015-2016 vehicles need to have their PCMs unlocked via the PCM Modification Service before tuning.
will this always be the case? or someday not require this?

This will always be the case, from what they've said.

that is not completely accurate. if its on that list does not mean it can be tuned properly. I have and 04 ram hemi ... doesn't read knock, no injector info, no transmission support. I'm not sure its really doing anything. I added 20 degrees to all charts in an effort to go beyond the threshold of the motor I drove it for 2 days and wasn't even sure if it ran different. I have had disputes with them but my transmission is NOT even on the list. so basically I bought something useless. I guess I could buy a whole different vehicle, oh wait that would completely defeat the purpose of buying the tuner at all

I have a 2010 5.7 hemi and the only option I see in the transmission tab is what transmission I'm using. Am I missing something?

If your file was read with an old version, it may not contain the trans portion. You'll probably have to re-read the vehicle using the latest software version to get the TCM portion.

Those are JTEC controllers and HPTuners has no support for it.

Any possible Jeep Renegade support? It has that Fiat 1.4t junk, obviously the ve tables are pretty junky, as you can feel rich lean oscillation at part throttle and low boost level. I would really like to clean that up

If you are unsure whether your vehicle is supported, please email support with a VIN and we can check for you.

    Thanks!
Is there any chance the 2.4L Dart GT will be added to the supported PCM list (VIN: 1C3CDFEB3ED668183)? I tried to read the PCM, but it always ends with a checksum error.

    Thanks!
