    PCM Identification Thread

With all the new Ford updates as of late, a lot of people are confused as to which PCM type to select in order to read their PCM. Hopefully this will help.

For 2011-2014 V8 Mustangs and F150s, use Copperhead

For 2011-2014 V6 Mustangs and F150s, use ESYS

    For 2015 V8 Mustangs and F150s, use TC-1791

For 2011-2014 Ecoboost F150, and 2015 Ecoboost Mustang, use TC-1797*

    For 2017+ F150 3.5L Ecoboost, its a TC-277,

    For 2017 F150 2.7L Ecoboost, its a TC-1797,

    For 2017 F150 V8, its a TC-1791

    For 2018 Mustang, F150 with 5.0L or 2.7 its a TC-298

When you read the car, if the software does not recognize the OSID, you have to choose which controller (aka PCM) to use in order to read it. Pretty sure I have all the 2015's covered at this point, so you shouldnt have to select.

sounds like you are using 2.24, not 2.25 which is what Eric is referring.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

You need 2.25. If we have already created a definition for the strategy that is in the truck, you don't have to select the PCM type. In case you have to, you would select Copperhead.

This is the error message I am getting.

Bill at support suggest I try reading it out as a silver oak. However it is automatically selected as a spanish oak.

Send the info log to support and we will get it sorted. The OSID is probably still associated with Spanish Oak.

Email support at hptuners dot com, with your interface serial number and Bill will add it to your customer center.

You will likely not need to select the controller, since we have already defined all of the GT500 operating systems, but it uses the Copperhead ECM.

Any planned support for a 2011 Fiesta? Not exactly a hotbed for tuning, but I despise how my daily driver is tuned from the factory. I have 2.25 (older version, I'm not sure if there's anything new) and tried reading the ECM last fall without any success.

That's great news Eric. If you're looking for any testers of the platform once you get that far, please keep me in mind.

How's the EEC-V support coming? I have a 2003 Marauder I'd like to tune. Is 2.25 capable of reading it?

It will read it, but very slowly. Probably 45 - 60 mins to read. We have to make some firmware changes to fix the speed, as reading these older vehicles uses a different protocol than the newer ones we support. At some point we will support EEC-V, but I have no ETA.

Looking at buying a 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac 4.8, is this supported in the beta? The Mustang, Explorer SUV, Trucks, Crown Vic and Vans are listed in that year.

I have the beta but haven't had a chance to plug into the car to see.
