2010 Camaro 4L80e Swap, Unable to locate VCM

So the 6L80e in a 2010 Camaro burned up after putting too much power through it for too long. While the trans was out and the decision was being made on what to do, we decided to install a 4L80e conversion from RPM. They use a PCS controller, so the factory TCM is eliminated. We got everything bolted in, and I am trying to flash a new tune in to eliminate the TCM, but it is unable to locate the TCM.

I am assuming that it is because the factory TCM is unplugged. Do I have to get the transmission back into a place where I can plug it in? Or is there a way to flash JUST the ECU? Or should I just ditch the PCS controller and run the PCM of NC adapter harness?

Go to the trans connector and jump the tan wire to the other tan wire, then jump the tan/black to tan/black.

Once you do that, read the tune off the car. This will give you a file that is JUST the engine controller.
