    FPV F6 with Bosch 968 42lb

    I've just returned my car back to stock besides the 42lb injectors, I had VDO 80lb previously. Im having trouble with my settings for the bosch 42lb. The car is cutting out once going into open loop. I used the data sheet to set my scales, bat offsets etc. I've attached the tune, any one have any ideas? BASE FACTORY TUNE 05 F6 with 42lb.hpt

    Did you scal the date for 4bar base pressure?

    Your figures seem a little off. Try the figures in the attached tune.

    Thanks hiddeous, it turns out it was the fuel filter and fuel pump. I think the eflex ate them up. I am interested in how you got your figures in your tune file though as I used the below data sheet and got the figures in my tune:

    Loslope = 0.012796 lb/s x 1.2757 x 60 x 60 = 58.76588592
    hislope = 0.011947 lb/s x 1.2427 x 60 x 60 = 53.44753284

    Have had these injectors and that data sheet is for the Ford M-9593-F302 injector and not the 968s. I also encountered this when I first started trying to get them to not be so lean under power with my supplied tune.

    You will get closer with the M39 data with the high slope around 49. Anyway your calculations are out as the value should be:

    hislope = 0.011947 lb/s x 1.205197 x 60 x 60 = 51.8345588124

    Anyway Hiddeous tune numbers are much closer to what I had for my 968s and I would use these.

    Ok. Thanks for the info! I'll give the figures a go.

    I still don't get why the data sheet I posted has the 968 part number at the top if it is for the M-9593-f302 injector.

    As for your formula did you get the 1.205197 as 4 bar is 58psi and not 60psi? I redid my calcs to accommodate this and got 1.22162, so I must be doing something wrong.

    Trbo 6, I not sure what you level of tuning knowledge and I don't mean to insult you, but you realise you can't drop a set of injector data in to the tune without making some alterations to the SD tables?

    I found this data online and the company that posts it just put the Bosch part number on top of the Ford data sheet for an injector they think is close. You make your own call on what you think of doing that (they do it for other injectors as well such as the 0 280 158 117 and the data is wrong).

    Appologies, it appears I made a mistake in my calculation as I pasted the 50.03 in one place instead of 54.96

    4 bar is 58.015psi:

    to get the High Slope value at this pressure do (58.015 - 54.96)/(60.03-54.96)*(1.2427-1.1887)+1.887 = 1.2212 (your value)

    1.2212 * 0.011947 * 60 * 60 = 52.523

    So, you did not do the calculation incorrectly. Definitely use the Hiddeous values as my original CAPA tune had these numbers and it was lean.
