98 Camaro T5 Read End Swap Question

    Hi there,

Just doing a conversion for a friend. We finished up swapping a 3800 SII and the T5 bolted to it from a 1998 Camaro V6/M5 car into a 86 Rx7. The Rx7 rear end is a 3.90 numerical, and the tire size is 225/50/16.

So I opened up the PCM to take a look around. The Tire/Drive value was 7.85. The 98 Camaro had either 235/55/16 or 215/60/16 - Maybe front and rear staggered sizing? Maybe a factory option? Either way both have a diameter of 26.1, respectively. The factory final drive on the V6 Fbody looks like 3.23 on the T5 M5 models. When doing the math of tire / gear, I get a value of 8.08, not the 7.85 I was looking for.

If I take the factor of error (1.029%) and go about calculations normally, wonder if it would work? Wonder if I screwed something up, maybe it has a different final drive?

    Thanks,
    Nathan

    P.S. This simely is cool
