    I've added a new demo for installing drivers on windows vista using home premium as an example

    http://www.thetuningdoctor.com/HPTun...staPremium.swf
    It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    The demos are meant to show you how to use the software, not how to tune a specific application.

    The rule is to leave it alone if you don't fully understand it. VERY minor changes with it can kill about 2mpg.

    Yes but a general tuning guide would help. In other words things like MAF readings used to set the fuel trims.
    How acceleration enrichment is set? Which tables afftect it and how?
    How power enrichment is set. etc.
    Here you have a nice editor and no instructions on how to even begin a tune
    An explanation of the relationships in the tables in the editor to the affect that they will have, especially on fueling would be welcome.

    The videos keep locking up on me as other videos on other websites do. Is there anyway to download these videos? Once I get a video downloaded I have no problems. It is proven that it is my internet connection that is the problem.

    Thanks.

    Yes it would be a great help but also a liability on us which is not something we are going to be getting into any time soon.

    As for relationships within the code its all related im sure there are books thousands of pages long that has more information on how they all work together via GM, its simply not something we could feasibly even try to offer.

    I create demo's literally on a daily basis with several new ones added over the past few days for the general public so they can learn to use our software better & more efficiently then if they didn't have them.

    They are also a great reference point when someone asks a question like "How do I save a scanner log" or "How do I get RTT" but it would be impossible to tell someone how to tune a specific application via a 5 minute demo. Our software is the tool to allow you the end user to take your vehicle to the next level, learning is part of the process. If you are not willing to take the time to test how things work you are going to have a hard time no matter what which is why there are still tunershops that thrive since they are the ones that took the time to test & tune on their own time to get where they are.

    Not that I'm aware of, they are a .swf shockwave flash file which is embedded into your browser.

    That was the hint I needed. While I can only watch about 25 seconds of video before firefox and internet exploder lock up on me (broadband dropping), I am able to save the webpage in firefox and when the broadband connection drops I can just pause and resume the download. Once the swf file was saved on my pc I was able to open it up in internet exploder and it worked fine.

    Thanks for the hint that brought me in the right direction!

    This then causes no wot upshifts and inaccurate speedos.

    I have had the same problem with my 05 gto, after a good burn out this seems to happen,when i try and leave off the trans brake,it causes the car NOT to shift and the speedo does not register a speed,this is with the 28 inch tires after a burn out track only..changed speed sensors with no avail.I have the numbers at 25.27 for the 17 inch stock wheels .For my 275/60/15 on the rear they are entered at 28 in the speedo section.I run a nitto with a 275/40/17 on the street have also seen same issue with speedo stop working ,but car will shift if not using the trans brake, with street tires on ,any help on this issue, MY gto came factory with 18 inch wheels if this helps any?regards RC

    I also have a track rental coming up and I want to smoke my current PB
    11.80.
    I must have had 6 different tuners tune my car Im impressed with none of them. What I did do was take parts from each and made my own.
    for example The one tuner did an ok job I guess I liked there timing table,
    But the left the fuel PE rate at 11.2 WOT???? After installing a wide band
    I told them about the problem they insisted I was at 12.8. I new I wasnt.
    I went to another tuner and did a dyno pull. 11.2 WOT only 362 whp???
    I changed the fuel to 1.155 and did another pull 398 and 402
    This is a bolt on car with 4.10s race clutch, ported fast 92 ported TB
    See sig for all mods.
    with the at 11.2 wot I went 11.8 with great air. and only 362 whp??
    So many tuners either cant tune or they can and just dont give a crap
    rape your pe and send you on your way soooo frustrated!!!
    Any help would be appreciated

    Hey Guy, Bill, I wanted to post up my tune and have some members look at it and see if they see anything that I should change, maybe a suggestion or 2.
    Im having a hard time absorbing all of this Im trying to take baby steps even purchased the Tuning school kit. but it doesnt go into ve tuning and I dont have the liscense for microsoft word. I was hoping just to be pushed in the right direction. After looking at my tune what areas should I manipulate next,
    or fix before I proceed.
    Thanks in advance

    Ok,I tryed this - Converting MAP kpa to boost in PSI-NEW!
    maybe its me and I did something wrong does anyone know how to get the video to look alil larger?I have 20/20 vision and it was hard to see some of this,I am very new at this stuff so this information/video is very helpful to me.The problem was the last part where I needed to copy and paste the psi and the 14.5 what else went in there to me it looked like IMP? Also I have a 2 bar map in my car does this make a diffrence?thanks in advanced.

    No matter what I try I cant get it to work right using the instructions given to do the boost. It wont log boost at all and past logs dont show it either. All it logs is a constant number when in boost and it doesnt change. I must be doing something wrong or calculation is wrong or ???

    Solution 1
    Create a user defined PID and insert into the table as follows:

    * Name: Boost
    * Abbrv: Boost
    * Sensor: Manifold Absolute Pressure
    * Units: PSI
    * Function: [PID.11.IMP]-14.5

    How it works: The scanner will convert map into absolute PSI & subtract atmospheric pressure. You shouldn't have to change your histograms, charts, gauges etc. as they all log as sensor based by default.

    Solution 2
    This method is similar but uses [SENS.30.IMP]-14.5 as the function
