    Exclamation ** MPVI Firmware v118 *ANNOUNCEMENT* **

On March 22'nd, we plan to release a new VCM Suite 2.24 and VCM Suite 2.25 with new MPVI firmware 118.

The firmware includes a new protocol which is NOT backwards compatible. Because of this, we must release it to both releases of VCM Suite for users currently using both.

If you install the newest 2.24 or 2.25 and your firmware is upgraded, you will also need to install the newest version of the other distribution as well.

The version numbers that this change was put into place:
    2.24.1080+
    2.25.1805+
The great news is, this enables the release of VCM Scanner 2.25 beta next week.

    Stay tuned!

Sorry that I havent read up much on the new scanner but is that something that is just going to be part of the 2.25 beta??

Or will that come out for 2.24 or will I just wait till 2.26 for everything. I havent asked for the 2.25 because I havent wanted or needed to look at anything dodge/ford.

The 2.25 version is what we're developing, which will transform into 2.26.

It includes VCM Editor and VCM Scanner, which is part of the VCM Suite product.

FUCK YEAH!!! Just in time for me to start really wringing out our Procharged coyote, and our twin 64mm 3v!

Not using 2.25, but does what you are saying mean that any older tunes, configs or logs will not read with this?

I hope not, as I have a large collection of the above.

The protocol is the "language" the hardware and software use to communicate with the vehicle.

You can still open your old tunes.

Will this automatically appear on our download page, or do we have to send an email to support?

I've enabled the FTP publishing for tomorrows build.

I'll enable the scanner some time this week, after a little more testing.

Morning Keith, tried a download a few minutes ago and got 1079 (2.24) and 1803 (2.25), I have links to both in Customer center from previous downloads. Do I need new links? Do I need to hook up my cable to the computer?

    Thanks,

    Ed M

This new protocol... The hardware must support it already. What is being added? Baud rate additions? New voltage on a different pin?
