It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

A wise man once said "google it"

So what eventuated with these issues?

Last week I requested the 2.25, got it, loaded up, updated firmware, new logging works but functions are missing ('2 weeks???'), cant clear DTCs????

Tried to use the old scanner but it wont connect to the interface.

Is there any way I can use the new Editor, old scanner? (Hate the new scanner layout and annoyed that all my configs will have to be redone, if they even work).

Upgrade to the latest 2.24 version and the old scanner/editor will work just fine. I use it every day.

I did a 15 SS over the weekend and jumped between the 2.24 and 2.25 for scanner and other reasons. pain in the ass, and a little longer to do it, but does work. Just can't load or save anything with 2.24.

It's going to be snowing here before I see a fix and then I'm not going to care because my car will be in storage.

Well I managed to get standalone recording working again but it's definitely not something I'd recommend for anybody else - my race car got stolen on the weekend and since my semi-functional HPT was in it at the time I had to buy a new one today.

All I had to do was uninstall the current version of the software before installing it from the CD and voila, my standalone works again!

lol.. yeah, I'll try to avoid going that route!

I hope insurance is helping you, at least on the race car part.. that sucks

Yeah that is unfortunate and I'm sorry to hear it.

It does give me an idea though... not that HPT will entertain it.

I wouldn't say no to an exchange program where they ask for my unit back and swap it with a new one that hasn't been "enhanced" into a broken state. They should do that for us and eat the cost if it's going to take months and months to fix the actual issue. Wishful thinking unfortunately.

Hmm, maybe they meant two weeks squared which would mean 196 days.

    ********** HEY HPT ****************

Say something! It's bad enough you turn our modules to junk, take an apathetic attitude towards your screw-up and then lie to us about how long it'll take to fix the problem, but now you're just up and disappearing from the thread? I guess you're just "fed up" with us whiners huh? Are we giving you a headache with our juvenile and unreasonable behavior? Take a look in the mirror HPT. You reap what you sow. And lately you've been sowing garbage, so that's what you're getting in return and will continue to get until you start servicing your paid and loyal customers. Until then, I suspect you'll eventually "wake up" when you see your future sales decline. Nobody wants to deal with this crap. We even told you how to fix the problem. You don't need to be a technical expert to figure it out. If you can't get past your own bureaucracy, that's your problem.
