Getting "datalog cannot be found" after re-installing V2.24.1095 in new Laptop

I just re-installed Suite 2.24.1095 on a new Intel I5 laptop running 8.1 Windows
It seemed to install correctly with no error messages while the install was happening.

After trying to scan, I'm getting cannot find datalog.

Am I missing soimething?

Also, in the Editor, I'm Getting :
"Flash checksum validation failed. Please try reading VCM again."

Tried twice.

Was working just fine in previous Pentium w/8.1 windows laptop.

Sent email to tech support yesterday with no response yet, thought I'd try here.

Please help.

Found the problem!

I used "copy" instead of creating a shortcut to the desktop.

Re-installed everything making sure I had the latest version, created a shortcut to the desktop and all is well again!
