    All this will do is make the guys like Big Stuff3 more popular. Or someone like HP Tuners to create a PCM for sale and discard the GM PCM.

    I wonder if this will follow along the same lines as people hacking android phones? Cell phone carriers are now starting to allow you to unlock your phones and install custom software/firmware.

    Either way, the aftermarket always seems to find a way to circumvent manufacturers. Maybe the easiest way will be to have a blank ECM (or a way to flash one) and run completely fresh firmware, similar to putting linux on a computer that originally came with windows...
