If the preview has no audio, but output files created with RaceRender do have audio, then that's either a preview volume / mute issue, or there's some problem accessing the sound card on your system.

If there is no audio for both the preview and any output files, then there would seem to be some problem decoding the input file's particular audio codec. That sometimes does happen on Windows 7 systems with certain audio codecs, and it can often be resolved by using QuickTime for decoding (or when you eventually upgrade to Windows 8 / 8.1 / 10)... If you are using the 64-bit version of RaceRender, then switching to the standard (32-bit) version may solve it automatically, for systems that have QuickTime installed. If that doesn't fix it, go to "File" -> "Media Libraries", and uncheck "Media Foundation", then close and re-open the video file again... It should then be using QuickTime for decoding because we took away it's other option. If it fails to open the file at all, then QuickTime is either not properly installed, or this format is not compatible with it.

It's not a bug, but rather just a difference in the media decoders that are available to 32-bit versus 64-bit applications. In particular, QuickTime's decoders are only directly available to 32-bit software, and some media files or situations will need to make use of them, especially on Windows 7 and older. Most of those situations are automatically fixed with Windows 8 and Windows 10, which provides much better media support, for both 32-bit and 64-bit applications.
