^Windows doesn't detect the MPVI interface and doesn't attempt to download any drivers, so in Device Manager nothing shown is there....
when you connect your interface to your pc but NOT a vehicle does the green power light illuminate?
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

No, That is what confuses me. It acts as if laptop doesn't even notice it being plugged in, but it gets power.

try an alternate usb cable, if that doesn't do the trick email support and we'll have you send in the interface for testing.

I played with a few things and I think I got it working. Device manager now shows under the Universal Serial Bus Controllers HP Tuners MPVI Challen A, and B.

Thanks so much for the quick replies too! I appreciate it. Nice to know you guys are on here to help people out!

I Seem to be having the exact same problem KTM had. I was tuning my car, all of a sudden, it started giving me the "Interface not found"? And now, I can't see the MPVI in the device manager and when I plug in the interface, it does not recognize or show up in the device manager?

KTM, how did you sort this out?
    Everyone else, any suggestions?

Sounds like it could be a bad USB cable.

I tried a different cable, no dice...

I will see if I can find a third cable just in case the second one I tried is also bad, but I don't think the cable is the issue.

I'm no computer wizard and this is driving me crazy....

So after playing with it, in the device manager, the MPVI shows up as "USB Composite Device" ???? No more Chanel A and Chanel B? Any idea

No idea what you mean to be honest, we do not install anything to your desktop.

Everything our software installs goes to your programs folder.

you will need to open the programs folder, locate hpt. and from there you can create a desktop shortcut. You can have icons for both the scanner and the editor.

Ok, I'm new to this and can't figure it out. I've done everything the instructions say but it still doesn't do what it says it should. After I installed everything and go to the HP Tuners program, it goes to VCM Suite not VCM Editor. Then it has HP Tuners so I click on that and it only has logs and tunes and VCM Scanner options.

I got it figured out finally. Sorry for not being specific. I was just getting frustrated. But now when I plug it in to the car it asks what I want to open the program with. And everything I tried doesn't open anything up.
