Yeah ok. Is this using the Kess system with emailed files?
By all accounts that's the very common way people are tuning diesels but no this had full adjustability and it's a flash like HPT
Those guys running around doing suck n fuck generic tunes/email tunes are killing it at over 2k per tune tho

Any news on the Common rail tuning?
What software was it used on the Toyota & how do you go with 4wd's on the 2wd dyno, I've been told even for full time 4wd if you dissconnect the front shaft the transfer case can still glow red hot & fail?
There's support for nearly everything and anything so common rail including
As we don't really build anything dedicated in Australia it means it's all been done before overseas and in depth so even the email tunes are actually not bad as the R&D has been done to death
Not sure grant as it was a selectable box so no issues afaik

So what was the software you used for the Toyota?
Has anyone heard of the full time 4wd issue being run on 2wd dyno & just taking front prop shaft out?

There was talk in the thread about the MAF being maxed out & don't think that was fixed!
We used an interface ( sorry really can't remember the name ) that was developed by a bloke in QLD and costs $15k and $660 per car license so bloody steep but it's common to charge $1695-$2200 for a tune in the diesel market
I was having a chat to another tune shop last weekend and how they go about diesels and apparently they use the email interface systems and went on to say the bloke who does it for them fires off emails back and forth in real time to dubai and basically dubai tweaks it and all he does is load and run on the dyno, there is an ECU opening that needed to happen first and the eprom is basically ( to my knowledge ) is hacked and then it can work from there on in with the flash process
Sounds way to third party to me and has little to no tweakability.... So you're just a cut n paster.... Boring me thinks
Don't know heaps about the diesel scene but it's all fluff and wind with typical file sharing just moving the injector pump cycle advance and moving the power and torque forward to meet the fueling needs that the engine responds to
Keen to learn more and actually do some of the custom stuff like boost pressure increases like on the 100 series

Yeah the 100 series 1HD was what I was interested in too as my dad own's 1 so I can play with it, but the cost of that start up software seems VERY pricey!

Don't know what it is with these glass boxes and weak rods but this is such a tidy example it's not funny, 1 owner 110k immaculately kept and a realistic power goal
Took it upon myself to keep the boost from coming on like normal and just fed it on gradually as it accepted it and came in with a best of 323rwkw @ 16psi max
Drives beautiful but i can see the box not lasting to much longer haha

Went 233rwkw with all the mods fitted but untuned and a best of 252rwkw after tuning 19rwkw isn't setting any power records but it feels really impressive now
Decent gain from start to finish in power and torque and a stack of ZF tuning to make it a complete package !!

What do they pull bog stock without mod's on your Dyno?
I tried tuning 1 years ago with a tuner I got to come & give me a hand & we couldn't get any extra power over stock (minimal 5%) even with tuning on 98, but that was back when ZF was un tuneable, but just adjusting the engine torque table made the ZF shift & feel better!
Never had a bog stocker on the dyno Grant so couldn't say
The customer just picked it up and was on the phone to me within 5 minutes of driving off raving about how much of a noticeable difference it's made and how it rev's harder and faster up top now .... That's a win in my book
The timing tables are key and they took at least three times as long to set vs a turbo.. 6.4khz boy's 6.4...
