Adding Flex Fuel Sensor to E40 Question

Hey guys, I see the E40 computers have Flex Fuel settings, and on the LS4s it's enabled. From reading, I understand that this is the "virtual" sensor or the guessing game style.

My question is what needs to be done to add the actual sensor into the E40 computer and what needs to be done in the coding to account for the change (in newer OS there's a switch for virtual/sensor)?

Bump, can anyone help me with what's required to install the sensor on my 06 Trailblazer SS with the E40 computer?

I'm assuming you know how to plumb the sensor.

    Connect sensor to computer.

Change stoich afr table to match a flex fuel enabled one.

Enable sensor. Set to physical sensor or whatever. Not virtual.

There are some timing adder tables, copy from another flex fuel tune if you want

    ..

    Profit.

No I don't know which pin to connect the sensor to on the E40 or if its even possible, supposedly it is.

There's also no switch to change from virtual to actual sensor on the E40 coding.

I've read that this is doable and has been done, DSteck in particular has said it worked on an 06 GTO but I understand he's not providing this information so freely anymore. Can anyone help with this information?

    Yes it's possible.

You're right.. E40 doesn't have the virtual option. Just turn it on and it will work if connected. You'll have to adjust any tables, multipliers, etc. for it to work

I have it working on an E40 currently (my car), so I know it works. People are not too open to giving out the info on how to do it. DSteck put quite a bit of time/money into finding out what pins to use on an E40 and getting HPT to add access to the appropriate parameters. Some shops have copied his work and claimed it as their own.. it would piss me off too.
