    3 BAR driveability.

ive been running a 2 bar os and have switched to a 3 bar to run more boost. im having problems with drivability. idle quality. my question is ... can a 3 bar os be as good of a driver as a 2 bar. what I mean is the good drive characteristics, cold weather starts, and some mpgs, or do you sacrifice the some of the good with the large spacing between map values in the ve table. it was a great driver with the 2 bar and im running in circles tryin to get that back. its not a racecar and don't want the characteristics of one. can it be done or should I go back to 2 bar? any thoughts??????????????

It can be done...you've gotta be very careful and selective with the data you use to setup the VE table...you're probably aggregating too much data from MAP values that aren't close to the correct values into the histogram...log with more resolution, then copy and paste with labels...see if it helps.

do you mean instead of rpm "400,800,1200" change to "400,600,800,1000,1200...." and the same with map, then copy with labels. ive wondered "how can I be logging good data in the 2000 column when im when im filling that cell with 1800 data?" am I on the right path MikeOD?

Try that and see how it works.. Or maybe even split it up more, 350,400,450,750,800,850......

Although your never going to hit 400... But hopefully you see what I'm saying. If you can isolate the data with the scanner, I've found you can hit the driveability a little quicker.

Cool...I'm glad it's working for you. The biggest problem I've found with people chasing their tails in VE and MAF tuning, is compiling too much data from neighboring cells.

im goin to try this. am I way over thinking this, this will definitely isolate but im splitting hairs now. engine speed " 750,800,850,1150,1200,1250,1550,1600,1650....." and map "....98,100,102,118,120,122,138,140,142......" what do you experienced guys think of that kind of isolation? will it cause problems? I feel like im way over doin it, or have I found "atlantis" and should not tell anybody where its at for fear I may disappear? goin just below and just above each cell

The more you isolate it, the longer it will take you to collect good data...but if you're ok with that, I think you're going to find that you'll collect solid data and the tune will work out nicely.
